Enough

Today was the first of what I suppose will be many days of discovering what "enough" is.

As I look around my small corner of the world, my one acre with me in it. I see lots and lots of TOO MUCH Too much stuff, too many pounds, too much fabric, weeds and stuff I just can't seem to part with. GRIEF!!!. I don't seem to have a gauge for what most folks intuitively know is "enough" I'm clueless! No enough gauge!

This morning, after eating MORE then enough of the good stuff, I fought to stay awake for the next hour while I drove up to pick up my client and then taking her and Ben to their work. Got them there on time and then finished the circle and coming back home. When I got back here, I feel into bed for another couple hours of sleep.

SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!

I went to back to bed thinking it must be the left-overs from being sick this last month. Or maybe the great exercise that I'm getting now is taking a toll? I woke up knowing that I was simply overloading on the food. None of it has been off "da Plan". It's all GOOD. But come on, how much do I really need? How much is enough?

So, I prayed about it. "God, it looks like I broke my enough-gauge. Since I can't run down to Schucks and get a new one of those ... Help me get this! Show me what is "enough"!

Lunch on Tuesdays is at Subway. I take my three clients out (dutch-treat) for a sub sandwich and then we head over to the bowling alley for a couple games.

Subway? Well, that's healthy! I always get a... well... I guess I don't always do anything, do I? ;) So again, I surrendered my idea of what was normal and enough to my Guide. "What would You have me to do?"

I ended up with... enough! LOL! A 6" whole wheat veggie, no cheese, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, green peppers, onion and then I added the half of an avocado that I'd packed in my purse from home. Prayed that it WOULD be enough and chomped in. Yummmmmm!!!!

One thing I know for a fact. I eat way to fast. SLOWDOWN!!! Don't enhale it! Enjoy! Savor! That's hard to remember, let me tell you, especially when you're a habitual food bolter.

Anyway, today was a GOOD day. I walked an hour on the treadmill, knitted a bunch, worked, planned for and got lunch started for tomorrow, ate the GOOD "da Plan" stuff and... now I'm off to bed.

OH! Watched "The Biggest Loser". Love/hate that show. But I'm glad I watched it. If I could only watch one show a week... that's the one I'd pick. If they can do it,. I can too.

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day and my kids will be home from school, Ben doesn't have to work and Sid is sick. My services as a care-provider aren't required and so... It should be a FINE day, home with the family. Boy, do I have plans. LOL!

ONWARD!!!!

LOL!!! Well, sure! Why not? LOL!!

I cut it up, put it in a ziploc bag and plunked it into my purse, knowing that it was likely to get munched up but... who cares! It worked great!
